High performance curable polyphenylene ether / monomeric epoxy compositions containing tin metal salt compatibilizing agent

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. containing polyphenylene ether, polyepoxide and a tin metal salt as components and definite chemically bonded bromine and having good processability and flowability and showing excellent methylene chloride resistance and melt soldering resistance. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective compsn. contains at least about 5% of chemically bonded bromine and obtained by compounding 20-55% by wt. of A+B of polyphenylene ether (A), 20-60% by wt. of A+B of at least one bisphenol polyglycidyl ether of an epoxy compsn. composed of at least one bisphenol polyglycidyl ether containing up to one aliphatic hydroxyl group on an average per one molecule and containing 10-30% of bromine as an aryl substituent, for example, a compsn. composed of a compd. represented by formula (wherein (m) is 0-4 and (n) is an average value up to 1) (B), a tin metal salt of which the amt. compatibilizes the components A, B (C), an epoxy resin catalyst, for example, imidazole, arylenepolyamine or silane (D) and an inert solvent (E).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
