PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emphasize even an image having its space in any specific direction and also to quickly perform this processing. SOLUTION: A lens 7 of a 1st image pickup means 4 is focused on an object 1, and a lens 9 of a 2nd image pickup means 5 is not focused on the subject 1 respectively. The video signals which are outputted from both means 4 and 5 are synchronous with each other and supplied to a difference calculation circuit 10. The circuit 10 calculates the differences among those video signals. A display device 11 displays a relevant image. Thus, an image having an emphasized frequency component is obtained.
