ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR DIECASTING, AUTOMOBILE SUBFRAME AND DIECASTING PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an Al alloy for diecasting which can be casted by a high pressure diecasting process, has sufficiently high strength and elongation even without performing T6 treatment after casting and can be used even in a corrosive environment, to provide a subframe produced by using the alloy and to provide a diecasting process for producing such a casting.;SOLUTION: The Al alloy for diecasting for a subframe has a composition containing, by weight, 8.0 to 9.0% Si, 0.35 to 0.45% Mg, 0.3 to 0.4% Mn, 0.002 to 0.008% Be, 0.20% Fe, ≤0.2% Cu, ≤0.05% Zn, ≤0.03% Ni and ≤0.1% Sn, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. By using this alloy, casting is performed by high speed-high pressure diecasting with a casting device 1 in which the insides of a cavity is hermetically sealed and made highly vacuum by a ringed tip 11, liquid gaskets 7 and 9, a seal rubber 15 and an ejection pin seal plate 18.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
