PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new stress responding gene and a stress detection method by a new dioxin decomposing enzyme, which is achieved by the determination of a dioxin metabolism route, the efficient improvement in dioxin decomposing characteristics of a basidiomycene, the practical use of the basidiomycete on the decontamination of environments, and the development of a highly accurate and simple method for detecting dixins. SOLUTION: The present inventors have paid attention on a gene which specifically expresses in the presence of a compound having a chemically stable dioxin skeleton difficult to be degraded, and searched the gene. Such the gene was consequently found to complete the present invention.
