PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book editing method by which the contents of a document of other author is confirmed in real time. SOLUTION: In the book editing method to receive the respective documents based on document input items to be taken charged by the respective authors from plural authors determined via a computer network and to edit one book, a book editing server in which pieces of information to specify the respective authors are registered is connected with the computer network, a selection screen of the document input items is displayed by receiving specification information by the book editing server, an input screen of the document in the document input item is displayed when the document input item corresponding to the specification information is selected and a display screen of the document inputted by other author to take charge of the document input item is displayed when the document input item not to correspond to the specification information is selected.
