PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove even incense sticks and matchsticks which are not burned up and remain in an incense burner by moving beads in a vessel and washing liquid into a bag having mesh before closing an opening of the bag and sucking out the washing liquid from outside the bag. ;SOLUTION: A funnel part 35 is screwed on a vessel 10, and beads A housed in an incense burner 100 are filled into the vessel 10 from an upper opening 35a of the funnel part 35. A cover C is fitted to the funnel part 35 to close the upper opening 35a. After that, a washing utensil 1 is grasped by hand and is vibrated in all directions to remove relatively large foreign matters such as cinders of matches by a filter. The funnel part 35 is separated from the vessel 10 and the foreign matters caught by the filter is discarded. Washing liquid such as city water is poured into the vessel 10 from the opening. The beads A housed in the vessel 10 is put in a washing bag together with the washing liquid.
