TRANSLATION CAPABILITY EVALUATING METHOD FOR TRANSLATING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translation capability evaluating method which can evaluate the translation capability of a translating agent with high precision while allowing the diversity of expressions of a translation result of an object to be evaluated. SOLUTION: This method has a 1st step where multiple original language test sentences, correct translation sentences corresponding to the original language test sentences, multiple original language reference sentences different from the original language test sentences, and correct translation sentences corresponding to the original language reference sentences are prepared, and a 2nd step where the correct translation sentence corresponding to each original language test sentence and the correct translation sentence corresponding to the original language reference sentence corresponding to the original language test sentence are regarded as correct translation sentence candidates and compared with the translation result for the original language test sentence obtained by the translating agent to calculate correct translation rates by the original language test sentences.
