PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a trace of light so that it looks more realistic, which represents a trace occurring in the case of moving of a light source within a virtual three dimensional space and the like. SOLUTION: First, tables to be used and the like are initialized (S1), and a light source and the like are moved by operation input (S3). After the position of the light source on the display screen has been acquired by carrying out perspective converting (S5), polygon with a prescribed width is generated along a new moving trace of the light source of the display screen (S7). Then transparencies of all polygons generated are enhanced (S9). The earlier a polygon was generated, the higher its transparency becomes. Next a texture, whose brightness becomes higher, moving along the moving trace of the light source and whose brightness becomes lower, moving away from the moving trace, is mapped into the polygon. In addition, the polygon is drawn on the moving trace of the light source using blending (S11), and the drawn image is displayed on the display screen (S13). The sequence from S1 to S13 is repeated, until the game is ended (S15).
