PURPOSE: To provide an Mn-Zn ferrite magnetic material having high electric resistance surface layer. ;CONSTITUTION: The Mn-Zn ferrite magnetic material comprising 20-50 mol% of MnO, 5-40mol% of ZnO and the residual mol% of Fe2O3 is to be used. The magnetic material having high electric resistance surface layer is manufactured either by simultaneously coating said Mn-Zn magnetic material with one or exceeding two kinds of compounds out of Li compound and the compounds of Ti, Cr, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn or by burying said Mn-Zn ferrite magnetic material in the blended particles of said compounds to be heat-treated within the temperature range of 600°C-1400°C. Through these procedures, the Mn-Zn ferrite magnetic material having high electric resistance surface layer is provided with the resistivity exceeding 108Ω.m thereby enabling it to be used as a deflection yoke core.
