PURPOSE: To produce an oxide raw material for Ni-Zn ferrite magnetic powder having fine particle size, uniform shape and composition and high crystallinity while suppressing the formation of impurities. ;CONSTITUTION: An acidic aqueous solution containing Fe2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+, containing at least one of the Ni2+ and Zn2+ in an amount smaller than the total amount necessary for the objective composition and containing Fe2+ in an amount larger than the amount to get a spinel-type ferrite is mixed with an alkaline aqueous solution. An oxidizing gas is blown in the mixed solution under agitation to form fine particles. The oxidized mixed solution is incorporated with an aqueous solution containing the remaining part of Ni2+, Zn2+ and Fe2+ to get the above total amounts and an oxidizing gas is blown into the mixture under stirring to effect the oxidation growth of particles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
