PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid microarray where various kinds of nucleic acid probes hybridizable with a nucleic acid target are immobilized at respectively different positions on a substrate, thus raised in the detective sensitivity for the nucleic acid target. SOLUTION: This nucleic acid microarray is made by immobilizing single- stranded nucleic acid probes through covalent bonds onto a substrate and simultaneously introducing functional groups negatively chargeable on undergoing dissociation in an aqueous solution or functional groups negatively chargeable on undergoing hydrolysis onto the surface of the region not immobilized with the nucleic acid probe on the substrate.
