PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper-roll packaging box that is free from print irregularities, by preventing play between both ends of the paper-roll packing box and flanges thereof during transport, thereby preventing variations in the thickness of a gloss layer and the thickness of an ink absorption layer, which are formed on the surface of the paper roll, and to provide a method for packing the paper roll into such a packing box.;SOLUTION: Fastening bands are put around flanges of both ends of the paper-roll packing box, thereby fastening both the ends of the box.
