PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plate heat exchanger in which a part noncontributable to heat transfer is reduced.;SOLUTION: Heat transfer plates 1A and 1B for use in a plate heat exchanger are provided with passage holes 10-17 at respective corners. In the center of the heat transfer plate, corrugations 27 and 28 are formed while inclining from the one lateral end side to the other lateral end side of the heat transfer plate. A plurality of horizontal protrusions and recesses 25 and 26 continuous to the inclining corrugations are formed around the passage holes 11 and 14 serving as inflow holes. Fluid exiting the passage holes 11 and 14 reaches the vicinity of the passage holes 10 and 15 thus reducing a dead space where the fluid does not flow.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
