CUTOFF STRUCTURE OF STEEL SHEET PILE JOINT SECTION AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cutoff structure of a steel sheet pile joint section having excellent driving properties and cutoff properties and being capable of ensuring cutoff performance to the case of the deformation of a steel sheet pile after cutoff treatment and being capable of corresponding even to the deterioration of cutoff performance by comparatively simple constitution and its construction.;SOLUTION: A cutoff material 3 having expansibility is installed onto a plane section in the vicinity of the mutual joint section 2 of steel sheet piles 1a and 1b, and a restraining member 4 composed of a steel sheet or the like is mounted so as to cover the cutoff material 3. Since the cutoff material 3 intends to expand by the expansive force of cutoff material 3 itself under the state in which it is held by the restraining member 4 and the steel sheet piles 1a and 1b, it receives pushing force from the restraining member 4, and cutoff properties in the joint section 2 is ensured. The cutoff structure is simplified by using steel sheet piles having a shape that the side in which the cutoff material 3 is secured under the state of the fitting of the joint section 2 is formed in the same plane as the steel sheet piles 1a and 1b, and cutoff properties can be improved in addition to the ensuring of even driving properties.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
