PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrator container in which any air-tight failure can be prevented from being generated even in an ellipsoidal or almost ellipsoidal case, and a piezoelectric oscillator can be prevented from being brought into contact with the inner periphery of the case and a piezoelectric vibrator using the piezoelectric vibrator container and a circuit board mounted with the vibrator, and to provide a method for manufacturing the piezoelectric vibrator.;SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric vibrator container 10 having a cylindrical case 11 whose one edge is made open and a stem 12 sealing the open edge of the case 11, the outer peripheral face of the stem 12 and the inner peripheral face of the case 11 are respectively shaped like an almost ellipsoid. A press-in overlap at the time of press-fitting the stem 12 into the open edge of the case 11 is constituted so as to be monotonously increased from the long diameter side toward short diameter side of the case 11, so that the press-in overlap can be made large at the short diameter where a vertical stress is likely to be small, and the press-in overlap can be made small at the long diameter part where a tensile stress is likely to be large.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
