PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally responsive waterer designed in consideration of the conventional problems that it is necessary to supply the optimum quantity of water to plants at an optimum time corresponding to the condition and environment where the plants are placed, because the quantity of water to be supplied and the watering time respectively necessary for plants are decided depending on the human sense in the conventional waterer, but it causes such troubles that failing to manage watering results in root rot or withering on potted plants because water retention of the potted plants is low due to having small quantity of the soil around its roots in comparison with growth of trunks, stems or leaves, and also because the potted plants are arranged at the troublesome places such as sunny and dry places, or in contrast dampish, slightly sun lit and poorly ventilated place, or the like, or because too much watering or the like inhibits the potted plants from well growing due to being placed at the close side to a user.;SOLUTION: This environmentally responsive waterer works as follows: sensors (2) and (2)''' sense surrounding environments where a plant 14 is set, the sensed environmental data are gathered into a controller (1) to calculate and adjust the sensed information, and water is supplied to the plant 14 in accordance with the environmental so as to be optimum for growing plants.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
