PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved wet traction. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 10 having the improved wet traction is provided with two annular aquachannels 12. The tire 10, having a wide footprint with a substantially square shape, a distinct tread pattern 11, and a new tread compound, exhibits not only excellent hydroplaning-phenomenon resistance but also good QGL wet traction. Additionally, the tire 10 has the good characteristics of handling and abrasiveness resistance.
