PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-car image monitoring device for an elevator capable of specifying a person by surely photographing a face image in close-up in such a limited place as an elevator or the like.;SOLUTION: The in-car image monitoring device for an elevator is equipped with an image storage device 4 for recording an image photographed by a CCD camera 1 for photographing a state of inside the car of an elevator. This device is provided with elevator state recording starting means 21 and 22 for detecting registration of car call by a hall button of the elevator and starting recording onto the image storage device 4, a magnification photographing means 22 for detecting opening of a door of the elevator and photographing near the door with magnification with the CCD camera close-up, image continuous recording means 41 and 42 for continuously recording the image photographed with magnification and the image photographing complete view of car inside, and recording stopping means 21 and 22 for detecting stop of the elevator and stopping the recording onto the image storage device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
