PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ventilation of the heat storage body of a burner from being impeded with soot produced when a part of unburnt exhaust gas in the way of combustion from a burner under combustion or a part of not yet burnt fuel is sucked into an adjacent burner sucking combustion exhaust gas. SOLUTION: In an oven type heating furnace comprising a heat storage alternating combustion burners, interval between adjacent burners is widened so that a part of unburnt exhaust gas in the way of combustion from burners 8a, 8c under low load combustion or a part of not yet burnt fuel is not sucked into adjacent burners 8b, 8d sucking combustion exhaust gas.
