"COMPOSITION FOR THE TREATMENT OR PROPHYLAXIS, OF TREATABLE OR AVOIDABLE DISEASES BY THE POTENTIALIZATION OF THE EFFECT OF A NEUROTROPHINE AND OF A NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASE, AND USES OF A 6 (5H) FENANTRIDINE E DERIVATIVE,". Neurotrophin enhancers that contain 6 (5H) -phenanthridinone derivatives of the general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof and are useful as preventive or therapeutic drugs for neurodegenerative diseases: in which, R ^ 1 ^ R ^ 1 '^, R ^ 2 ^ and R ^ 2 '^ are each, independently hydrogen or halogen; and either R ^ 3 ^ and R ^ 3 '^ is amino and the other hydrogen, with the proviso that when either R ^ 1 ^ and R ^ 1' ^ is halogen, the other is hydrogen and that when either R ^ 2 ^ and R ^ 2 '^ is halogen, the other is hydrogen.
