"PESTIVÍRUS, VACCINE, AND, PROCESSES TO IMMUNIZE AGAINST PESTIVIRUS-INDUCED DISEASE AND TO MANUFACTURE A VACCINE FOR THE PROTECTION OF AN ANIMAL MEETS A PESTIVIRUS". The present invention addresses attenuated pestivirus mutants, which have a reduced ability to replicate, as demonstrated by small placebo size. The mutations are in the 5 'untranslated viral dogenoma region. These mutant viruses are usable as live vaccines to control bovine viral diarrhea, extremity disease and classical swine fever.
