Procedure for influencing the development of Pollen by Modification of the Metabolism of sucrose in transgenic plants and plant cells.The Invention especially relates to a method for producing Male sterile plants in which the Pollen is removed.The Invention relates particularly to the expression of a Protein with Enzymatic activity of a zacarosa Isomerase in Transgenic plant cells.It also relates to Nucleic Acid molecules that contain a sequence of DNA that encodes a Protein having an Enzymatic activity of sucrose Isomerase and where the sequence dAnd DNA Regulatory sequences operatively is related with an active Promoter in Plant, so that the DNA sequence is expressed in anthers or elpolen.It also relates to plant cells and transgenic plants containing the Nucleic Acid Molecule of the Invention and following the expression of the DNA Sequence sCA a Protein with Enzymatic activity of sucrose Isomerase are male sterile plants, as well as products of harvest and reproduction material of transgenic plants.
