The present invention relates to an insulated container being provided in the region of its upper wall (2) with an inlet opening (5) communicating with a cooling module (3) supply opening (4) for supplying a cooling medium into the cooling module (3) wherein the cooling module is provided with at least one outlet opening (7) for escape of the cooling medium into the container (1) interior to cool thereof wherein the cooling module (3) inlet opening (5) can be connected with a cooling medium supply device (13). The cooling medium supply device (13) comprises in the region of its end connectable with the cooling module (3) inlet opening (5) magnetic or electromagnetic means, which cooperates with corresponding magnetizable or magnetic means in the region of the container (1) cooling module (3) inlet opening (5) for connecting said cooling medium supply device (13) for delivering the cooling medium into the insulated container (1) or more precisely into the cooling module (3). During filling process, a cooling medium is supplied into a cooling module (3) from above through the inlet opening (5) and the cooling module (3) supply opening (4). Via at least one outlet opening (7), the cooling medium can escape from the cooling module (3) into the interior of the container (1) so as to cool it. In the course of the filling process, a cooling medium supply device (13) is connected through the mediation of a magnetic force with the insulated container (1) or more precisely the cooling module (3). There is proposed the use of the above-described container and storage of temperature-sensitive substances, especially foods, in a cool environment for a time-limited period.
