Invention pertains to the field of venerology, urology, gynaecology and paediatrics, and particularly to a method for diagnosis of urethritis caused by Candida fungi. The method permits to detect kinds of urethritis with poorly manifested symptoms ( urethritis exhibiting torpid and chronic character). The method provides for cytochemical detection of enzyme phosphotase by azodye agent - fast blue BB. Activity of the enzyme is detected in epithelial cells of urethra. Detection of increase of acid phosphotase in at least one cell grouping is an evidence of torpid urethritis.
