A method and apparatus set up a call between at least one standard analog terminal and a remote terminal in a network, via a radio terminal and a radio base station. The contents of a memory are initially cleared. If a first dialed digit is received from the standard analog terminal, verification of the radio terminal status is terminated, if it is in progress, and the first dialed digit is stored in the memory, forming the contents of the memory.
