A method of retail sale of goods comprises distribution, by the seller, of information about the nomenclature of goods supplied, taking orders from the buyers according to said nomenclature of goods, in at least one ordering point (2) accessible to the buyers, transmission of the ordering information from the ordering point (2) to the packaging center (1), where the orders are made up, receiving the payment for the order, delivery of goods to the buyers. In this case, the orders are taken by the seller remotely from their packaging. The method is implemented in a trading enterprise wherein the order-packaging center is separated from the order-taking point and situated remotely therefrom. The ordering point comprises ordering sections (11), having each the operators side (12) and the client's side (13) separated by a partition (14), and an operator's seat (16) common to all the sections, the sections with the partitions surronding the operator's seat. The cash department may be organized in a similar way. The sales delivery point (3) comprises a motor vehicle (19) with a body and wheel-mounted containers (20), The lateral dimensions of the containers being multiple of the internal dimensions of the body, at least part of the containers being adapted to be joined together.
