The invention concerns a shower screen designed to be installed on a shower or bath receptor to form a shower unit with said receptor or said bath, said screen being fixed to one longitudinal end of said receptor or said bath and comprising two or several mutually sliding panels without overhead track. The invention is characterised in that a device between each panel, consisting of a flat support whereof the length is substantially equal to the width of a panel, whereon is fixed two sets of slide rails, fixed on either side of a support (Fig. 6) such that the centre of gravity (G2) of the sliding panel is always between the supports of the slide rails (A) and (B) on said panel, thereby ensuring its stability, the position of the slide rails on the device (21) is such that there is no superimposition of glass panes, which provides easy cleaning.
