The method involves evaluating the signals from the sensing arrangements (10,11,13) to obtain at least two sequences of yaw rate signals and detecting faulty installation of at least one sensing arrangement if a characteristic difference between associated yaw rate values of the two sequences occurs while the vehicle is traveling. The detection process takes place when the vehicle is traveling at above a predefined speed.
