PURPOSE: Provided are the preparation method of a new Bifidobacterium longum, BO-11(KCTC 0804BP) with good acid and bile acid tolerant properties and its use as an additive to acidic foods such as kimchi and a regulator of intestine such as yogurt with exhibition of stable effect. The existing Bifidobacterium longum has low viability under acidic condition thus shows low bioavailability when applied to such products. CONSTITUTION: Bifidobacterium longum, BO-11(KCTC 0804BP) is prepared by culturing the selected microorganism in an MRS broth medium containing 10% of skim milk, 0.5% of yeast extracts, 0.5% of soytone, 3% of dextrose, 0.05% of L-cysteineHCl, and 0.01% of MgSO47H2O at pH 6.0-6.8.
