PURPOSE: Provided is a method for culturing and growing undifferentiated human embryo stem cells derived from frozen-thawed embryo. Also, provided is a method for differentiating the undifferentiated stem cells into a specific cell. CONSTITUTION: Undifferentiated human embryo stem cells are prepared by thawing a human embryo in blastocyst stage, and culturing a part of or a whole embryo above on a medium which keeps undifferentiated embryo stem cells. Where, the human embryo in blastocyst stage is frozen 5-6 days after fertilization for over 4 years; and a used cryoprotectant can be selected from the group consisting of sucrose, glycerol and their combination.
