/2 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOGNIZING AUTOMATIC IN PS2 MOUSE AND SERIAL MOUSE

PURPOSE: A method and a device for automatically recognizing a PS/2 mouse and serial mouse are provided to enable a receiver to provide respective signals outputting from a wireless keyboard and mouse to a PC by making the receiver automatically recognizing a connection of the PC and a PS/2 keyboard line, a PS/2 mouse line and a serial mouse line. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a wireless keyboard(10), an AC-IR6(InfraRed) receiver(20) and a PC(30). The wireless keyboard transmits a code signal by pressing a button desired by a user to the AC-IR6 receiver through the IR. The AC-IR6 receiver is equipped with a PS/2 keyboard line(A), a PS/2 mouser line(B) and a serial mouse line(C) connecting to a microcomputer(21) in order to match with the PC, and is equipped with an IR receiving port(D) to receive various signal outputting from the wireless keyboard and a jumper(E) to select whether the keyboard has 103 keys or 102 keys. The microcomputer provides the received code signal to the PC through respective lines after receiving the code signal and mouser coordinate signal from the wireless keyboard through the IR receiving port, and automatically recognizes on the basis of a condition of Rx and RTS check part in the serial mouse line whether the PS/2 or serial mouse line is connected.
