PURPOSE: An Internet phone service system and method using a unified messaging system is provided to increase the convenience of a user by providing a unified messaging service through a plurality of UMS server network system, and by enabling the user to receive the messaging service using an existing number of the user without the need for managing a special UMS number. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal requests a unified messaging service. In addition, the user terminal connected to a UMS(Unified Messaging System) server transmits/receives data. An IP(Internet Protocol) network is connected to one or more UMS servers. In addition, the IP network transmits/receives data. The UMS server includes a member management unit(40), a receiving unit(10), a UMS server judgement unit(60), a transmitting unit(20), a unified messaging service unit(80) and a terminal communication unit(30). The member management unit(40) receives personal information from users. In addition, the management unit(40) generates specific UMS numbers and gives the numbers to the users. The receiving unit(10) receives a UMS number of a receiving side inputted from a caller. The judgement unit(60) grasps a UMS server capable of taking charge of UMS numbers of the receiving side.
