PURPOSE: An alarm device for oil shortage of an automatic transmission for a vehicle is provided to be convenient because a driver doesn't have to check out amount of oil of an automatic transmission as alarming if oil of the automatic transmission is less than the fixed amount and to prevent trouble of an automatic transmission caused from oil shortage. CONSTITUTION: An alarm device for oil shortage of an automatic transmission for a vehicle consists of a pipe member(11) installed in a case of an automatic transmission, having a guide protuberance to the long direction in the outer face, and sealing by a stopper member(11a) wider than the diameter in the upper part; a floatation member(12) inserted to the outer part of the pipe member, inserting a guide groove, formed to the long direction in the inner side, to the guide protuberance, and installing a magnetic material(15) in one side; a fixed contact(14) fixed in the inner part of the pipe member; a movable contact(13) that is separated from the fixed contact if being guided by magnetic occurred from the magnetic material of the floatation member, and is contacted with the fixed contact if the magnetic material of the floatation member is went away because of contacting with the fixed contact in the inner part of the pipe member and being made by a conductor having constant softness and resilient force; an on-alarm part(20) occurring alarm according to the contact state of the movable contact and the fixed contact. If amount of oil inside an oil check case(1) reduces under the fixed amount, the height of the floatation member gets lower until the point that the hanging projection locates on and the magnetic material and the movable contact become close. The movable contact is being guided by the magnetic force occurred by the magnetic material and the movable contact is separated from the fixed contact. If the movable contact is separated from the fixed contact, an electric wire is cut and an alarm light(23) is turned off. If the alarm light is turned off, the driver recognizes the oil shortage of the automatic transmission and fills up or exchanges oil.
