PURPOSE: A method for controlling cell paths in a cross duplicated link is provided to prevent time delay by controlling the cell paths of a link operated in cross duplication and transmitting an exact message through a cross duplicated H-link when an AMC part transmits PHY information. CONSTITUTION: A FIFO control part judges whether a message is received from an AMC(ATM port Management Control) part(ST11,ST12). If a message is received, the FIFO control part analyzes the value of a specific location in the message and extracts a port number(ST13). Then the FIFO control part judges whether the extracted port number is even(ST14). If the port number is even, the FIFO control part asserts the port of the extracted port number plus 1 together with the extracted port and writes them to an RA receiving FIFO(ST15,ST16). However, in case that the extracted port number is not even, the FIFO control part asserts the port of the extracted port number minus 1 together with the extracted port and writes them to the RA receiving FIFO(ST17,ST18).
