Self-foaming or foamed cosmetic or dermatological composition comprises: (a) an emulsifier system comprising an optionally neutralized C10-C40 fatty acid, an ethoxylated C10-C40 fatty acid ester (with 5-100 ethylene oxide units) and a C10-C40 fatty alcohol; (b) up to 30 wt.% of a lipid phase; (c) 1-90 vol.% air, oxygen, nitrogen, helium, argon, nitrous oxide or carbon dioxide; and (d) an organic hydrocolloid.
