The opening roof has a cover (10,12) movable rearwards on a guide track (20) into a storage case (26) installed in the region of a rear stowage space. The case forms in its stowed position forms the floor (30) of the rear stowage space, whereby a cover plate serving as protection for the cover and stowage for luggage is fitted on the floor of the stowage space, and covers the case in its stowed position. The cover plate can swing upwards to enable the upwards swinging of the case into the transfer position.
