Device comprises a head support for fixing the eyes of a squinting person, a recording device, especially a digital camera for recording images of the eyes, an analysis unit and a display for presenting images or image sequences. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for determining and correction of a patient squint. Accordingly the patient is shown an image and a squint angle determined. The squint is then corrected by showing the patient a series of training images. Optimally the training images are shown on a computer monitor with an appropriate computer program that allows the images to be portrayed as a game, film, etc.
