The invention relates to a crankshaft for a high-speed four-cylinder in-line reciprocating engine exclusively comprising two bearing points, namely a first bearing point (21) and a second bearing point (22), and comprising four shaft cranks, namely two outer shaft cranks (11, 14), and two inner shaft cranks (12, 13) arranged therebetween, whereby the four shaft cranks (11, 12, 13, 14) are arranged at least approximately in a plane. The aim of the invention is to increase the output of a reciprocating engine equipped with this crankshaft. To this end, the first bearing point (21) is arranged between the outer shaft crank (11) and the inner shaft crank (12) of one crankshaft side, and the second bearing point (22) is arranged between the outer shaft crank (14) and the inner shaft crank (13) of the other crankshaft side. In addition, all adjacent shaft cranks (11, 12, 13, 14) are offset from one another by 180 DEG , whereby a counterweight (31, 32) is arranged next to each of the outer shaft cranks (11, 14) in an axially exterior manner and is offset by 180 DEG with regard to the adjacent shaft crank (11, 14).
