The terminal (10) preferably for a line protection (automatic cut-put) switch has a U-shaped body (11) with partly arcuate limbs (15,16) forming a cylinder-like section which is internally threaded for insertion of the clamping screw (12). The limbs are joined in the vicinity of their free ends by bars (22-25) matched to the cylindrical shape. The terminal piece (13) is formed of an elongated copper strip with its end tabs (35,36) rolled into a rectangular cross-section. The screw is accessible from the front, and the clamping spaces for connection to a busbar and/or wire are accessible through openings in the neighbouring shorter side.
