The invention relates to a method for controlling brake pressure characteristics during electronic regulation of brake power distribution, whereby the deceleration of a motor vehicle (bFZ) is detected during a braking process, evaluated as a criterion for regulation and an increase in brake pressure (pneu) is only permitted in the rear wheel brakes if (a) the deceleration of the motor vehicle rises above a minimum value once electronic regulation of brake power distribution (EBV) has occurred or if (b) criteria pointing to brake fading or a braking error are available or if (c) the deceleration of the motor vehicle exceeds a specific limit value.
