Method for controlled radical (co)polymerisation of (meth)acrylic, and/or vinylic, and/or vinyldienic, and/or dienic monomers is claimed in which polymerisation of at least one of aid monomers takes place in bulk, solution, suspension or emulsion; at temperature which can be as low as 0 degrees C; in presence of initiator system comprising at least one radical generator; and at least one catalyst consisting of metal complex of formula MAa(L)n (I), in which M = Cu, Ag, or Au; A = halogen, pseudo-halogen, or carboxylate group; L = ligands selected from those of formula (II), in which Y = N, or P; R1-R6 = H, 1-10C alkyl, or (hetero)aromatic group; Z1-Z3 are selected from (III)-(V); or NR19R20, in which R7-R18 = H, 1-10C alkyl, or (hetero)aromatic group; and R19, R20 = H, halogen, 1-10c alkyl, 1-10C alkoxy, or -(CR21R22)fNR23R24 where R21-R24 = H, 1-10C alkyl, or (hetero)aromatic group, and r = 1-10; o, p, q = 1-10 and can = 0 if Z1, Z2, or Z3 = NR19R20; a= 1 or 2; and n = 1, 2, or 3.
