The stabiliser consists of an implant (18) inserted at least partially between two adjacent vertebrae (2, 2') and permitting at least one degree of rotational freedom, and at least one extra-discal component (20) situated to the rear of the intervertebral space and designed to damp any movement between the vertebrae, especially in the direction of flexion. The damper is connected to the two vertebrae by pedicular screws (22, 22'), and the implant has an elastic core, partially covered by a rigid material to for a partial disc prosthesis.
