Production of ceramic tiles using clinker from the incineration of household waste as a substitute for natural mineral materials

Production of a ceramic consists of: (a) crushing a primary mineral materials, preferentially with clinkers from the incineration of household waste; (b) screening this mixture; (c) adding water to form a slurry; (d) transforming the slurry into granules; (e) pressing the granules in a mould to form tiles; and (f) firing the tiles. The firing of the tiles comprises a phase of progressive heating to allow the gaseous generation of the fusible components of the tiles. The primary materials used are a mixture of clay, pegmatite, clinker and possibly feldspar.
