PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease of gripping force in turning-traveling without adverse effect on high speed durability by interposing a tension member formed by a non metallic cord so arranged as to be tilted by a specific angle between a belt and a cap. CONSTITUTION:A tension member 3 is interposed between a belt 2 composed of steel cords 2-1, 2-2 so arranged as to be tilted by an angle of 15 to 40 deg. in relation to the flat surface including the center circumference of a carcass 1 of the tire having the aspect ratio of 0.6 or less and a cap 4. And in the tension member 3, the non-metallic cord is so arranged as to cross the flat surface by an angle not matched to the belt cord 2-2. They cooperatively resist backling near the middle point of the tread half-width and have the arrangement width of 70 to 80% in relation to the belt width of the adjacent cord 2-2, so as to reinforce a tread part (T) by layers 5 provided on both side ranges of the cap 4, the belt 2 and the cap 4. Accordingly, the decrease of gripping force of the tread part in turning-traveling can be effectively avoided without any deterioration of high-speed durability, and the turning performance can be improved.
