PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect an erasing face and a change in phase structure from an original model prepared by connecting plural complicated faces at the time of executing deforming processing such as offset processing. ;SOLUTION: A face circle to be the arrangement of faces connected to an original face corresponding to a self-face (offset face) is obtained in the order of a route along the boundary of the original face. The intersection lines of the self-face and its adjacent offset face and an intersection point of the intersection lines are found out in accordance with the order of the face circle. When the adjacent offset face is to be erased has been already judged, there is no intersection line with the adjacent offset face or there is no intersection point of an intersection line, intersection lines or the like with an offset face corresponding to an adjacent original face are found out. These intersection lines are superposed to prepare a primary boundary loop L₁. The loop L₁ is separated to divided loops on intersected points V₀₃₁, V₀₄₁ of the loop L₁ and a loop of which direction coincides with the face circle out of the divided loops is determined as the boundary of the offset face.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
