PURPOSE: To obtain an anti-inflammatory antiulcer agent having excellent antiulcer action, antigastritis action and antiduodenitis action and low toxicity and free from disagreeable taste and smell and stimulation by using an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid zinc chelate compound as an active component. ;CONSTITUTION: The anti-inflammatory antiulcer agent contains an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid zinc chelate compound of formula I (R₁ and R₂ are H, OH or lower alkyl; (n) is 0-3) (e.g. methylmalonic acid zinc monohydrate) as an active component. The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II or its alkali metal salt with a zinc compound. The anti-inflammatory antiulcer agent is especially effective on the inflammation or ulcer in the digestive tracts, especially the inflammation or ulcer of the stomach or duodenum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
