METHOD OF SHRINK-RESISTANT, ANTIMICROBIAL AND DEODORANT FINISHING OF ANIMAL HAIR PROTEIN-BASED FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finishing method efficiently and stably imparting both of excellent shrink-resistant properties at laundry, and antimicrobial deodorant properties to an animal hair protein-based fiber.;SOLUTION: The method of shrink-resistant, antimicrobial and deodorant finishing comprises subjecting the fiber surface of the animal hair protein-based fiber to oxidation treatment by an oxidant such as chlorine gas and sodium hypochlorite, and imparting a polyamide-epichlorohydrin resin and an antimicrobial agent to the treated fiber. The obtained fiber fabric has ≥2.2 bacteriostatic activity value measured by a method for evaluating and testing antibacterial properties regulated by JIS L1092, and ≤1.5% shrinkage at home laundry regulated by JIS L0217.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
