PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an illegal action such as successful impersonation by registering IP addresses in response to highly reliable telephone numbers in an IP address register processing in IP communication.;SOLUTION: An IP address register method is the method for an IP communication system where a gate keeper 1 is connected to IP telephone sets 3A and 3B via an IP network 51 and public networks 55. The telephone numbers of the IP telephone sets 3 are registered in the gate keeper 1 via the public networks 55 by caller ID incoming, a cipher key is exchanged between the gate keeper 1 and each IP telephone set 3, and, then, the IP addresses are registered in the gate keeper 1 via the IP network 51 through the use of the exchanged cipher keys.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
