PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained release device for a volatile chemical agent which prevents unnecessary diffusion of the chemical agent by forcibly controlling the release at a prescribed temperature or above, assuring safety in usage. PSOLUTION: This sustained release device for a volatile chemical agent is provided with a container with an opening which is filled with the volatile chemical agent, a movable shutter 10 which is arranged on the opening and is equipped with an electromagnetic plunger mechanism, a yoke 14 which attracts a moving piece 13 disposed on one end of the movable shutter 10, and a coil 15 which is placed outside of the center of the yoke 14 and connects a temperature-sensitive reed switch 17.
