METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ON/OFF OF POWER SOURCE FOR TABLE TAP AND TABLE TAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling ON/OFF of power source for a table tap and a table tap with a simple constitution capable of carrying out a remote ON/OFF switching at a low cost. SOLUTION: A management user 3 of the table tap 1 accesses to a Web server 5 related to a supplier of this table tap 1 using a cellular phone 4 coping with the Internet. The Web server 5 responds to HTTP request regarding ON/ OFF setting of respective plug sockets which a user 3 carries out on a display of the cellular phone 4 registered on a data base of a Web server environment and transmits switching control data corresponding to this HTTP request to a card type mobile communication terminal 2 of the table tap 1 registered on the data base 6 through a mobile data communication line utilizing a public communication line network 8. The Web server controls an ON/OFF control circuit 11 for the respective plug sockets 1B based on a program of a micro-computer self-contained in the table tap 1.
